School Involvement

Local Schools are increasing their use of and involvement in Church life. Cheddar First School pupils (ages 4 to 9) have given musical contributions to some of our Services, entertained at Summer Garden parties and attend for key assemblies such as Harvest time. Many parents also attend these assemblies.

The Kings of Wessex Academy (ages 13 to 18) regularly arranges assemblies. At Harvest, Christmas and Easter the Church is packed with students with relevant, thought provoking music and drama provided by the students themselves. On Ascension Day the students of Year 9 come to Church for a special Service and Sixth Formers leaving the School are entitled to climb the tower as a continuing village tradition.
