At the 10.00am Sunday Service young people are withdrawn for part of the Service, usually leaving after the first reading and returning during the giving of the sacraments to the congregation. They are led by experienced adults who simplify the Gospel story of the day and involve youngsters in representing the message pictorially or by a song or small item of drama. At the end of the Service their efforts are demonstrated to the whole congregation.
They often achieve a very succinct and perceptive message in their involvement.
At Festival times the contribution is often more substantial. At Christmas, for example, a dramatic enactment of the Nativity Story is presented during the Crib Service on Christmas Eve.
