Cheddar Village Hall

Situated opposite St Andrew’s Church on the Wells road in Cheddar, the Village Hall is a popular venue for meetings, clubs and parties.  It is in daily use as a function room and meeting place and is home to many local organisations such as the Mums and Toddlers Group and Badminton.  Country Markets and Craft Fairs are held there on a regular basis and Blood Donor sessions are held throughout the year.

The main hall is marked out for badminton and the stage is used by drama groups including S.T.A.R.R.  The hall has a modern kitchen attached and an ample supply of crockery, cutlery and other kitchen essentials.  There are two side rooms which double as meeting rooms and childrens’ play area.  Thanks to the generosity of the local “Wheelchair Friendly Group” and corporate sponsorship, the building has concrete ramps to allow full access to all persons of whatever disability.  Toilets are also fully compliant with disability regulations.

The building is used throughout the summer weekends to house visiting groups of Brownies from all over the surrounding area.  It could be the ideal venue to hold your next function or birthday party. The hall can accommodate 150 people in close seating, and a maximum of 96 if seated around tables.
